it’s launching friday.
and I’m going to Brooklyn next week…. and I ordered a Kindle for a plane flight. (SUPER EXCITED about the Kindle! thanks Peter!!).

my work trip to NYC was terrific. like, really terrific. I am working closely on this project with my pal Peter, who I’ve known for 13 years now… Peter and I think a lot alike, and we had an incredibly intensive five days on this project. (Like: I was staying over at his lovely apartment, and we’d wake up, launch right into work, walk to coffee/dinner, then work into the night… that was every day I was there. it reminded me so much of when I was in high school, never doing homework, and instead of doing homework after school, going right to the computer, writing articles for Nibble magazine and managing the GEnie Apple II developer roundtable.)
not only was the last five days on the project a blast, but I feel like Peter and I connected even more (not just as business partners but as friends) and that was terrific. he’s a really good guy, my age, and we have a lot in common (it was fun to talk to him about my dating woes; he’s straight and I’m not but it’s surprising how similar our experiences, strategies and advice for each other ended up being). plus we work so well together that I’d like to do something else with him after this baby leaves the nest.
so… onward and upward! back home, plugging away. and trying to get to swim practice 3x/week. we’ll see if I can keep that up :-)
all the photos immediately preceding this message are some pictures from the trip. a lot of good pizza in Brooklyn.
