Chrome so far

so I’ve been surfing with Chrome for about 10 hours now… so far so good. I’ve found a bunch of little bugs… no showstoppers, but a few that I’m surprised weren’t identified earlier (like, in Google Spreadsheets, right-clicking the row number doesn’t show the popup; in Facebook, the little delete “x” in the Inbox doesn’t work either)… overall, though, WOW IT’S FAST! And I’m loving, loving, loving that :-)

looking forward to future iterations.

the biggest thing I’m missing: an “Undo Close Tab” command!

so far Chrome rocks

browsing with Chrome, Google’s new web browser. It’s really, really, really, really, really fast. And I liiiiiiiiiike that.

random post: fixing cookie issues in IE7

stupid fucking IE7. (if there was ever a browser that deserved such strong language, this is it.) I hate IE, and all its quirks and pecadillos. I pray that Chrome will follow some kind of standards but will still WORK…

that said, if you happen to have a site that works flawlessly in every single other browser (INCLUDING the mother of all buggy browsers, IE6), but fails in IE7, check your session domain.

I just added this code to my client’s site and it fixed everything:

ini_set(‘session.cookie_domain’,’.domain_name_here.com’);

ok, back to Firefox…
