this is the final promo that I recorded at KPCC a few months ago— it’s long and chatty and I think I talk too fast and sound funny. (in fact, listening to it again, I’m 99% sure they sped me up, which is kind of amazing.) all that said, it’s fun, and I love the music choice!

Gypsy Rose Lee!

saw Gypsy last night on Broadway (starring Patti LuPone— and after that big scene at the end, I totally got, in a flash, why she won the Tony!)… thanks to Tim for setting it up.

two great new lists on Flashlight Worthy, courtesy of my pal Tristan:

Books Based on the Arthurian Legends

Good Books for Better Photos

and a MAJOR redesign on the site— whoo hoo. it’s SO much better than before, omfg!

strolling the Brooklyn Bridge: can’t believe I’ve never walked the Brooklyn Bridge before! It’s just terrific; great exercise, lovely path, neat views… and as a bonus, I see why the Bridge scene in Cloverfield was so effective. :-)

Flashlight Worthy

to get a good idea of what it is for, here’s one of the lists I made for the site… of course it’s Disney books :-)

Disneyland: Behind the Scenes

I’d love to get your lists… about anything at all, really.

p.s. saw Patti LuPone in Gypsy tonight, on Broadway. wow. I see why she won the Tony.
