a quick update on my life
it’s been a really bizarre but ultimately good August. here’s the highlights:
- was very, very close to playing Million Dollar Password… was at the studio, on set, just feet away from Regis & the celebs, but ultimately didn’t go on. dagnabbit :-) luckily my pals Madeline and Derek made it; can’t wait to see their episodes.
- other game show fun in the works, however! stay tuned for details on that…
- I’m moving. Heading just a few miles away to a new penthouse apartment and then fixing up TFiDL. went out last weekend and bought a range, Sub-Zero fridge, dishwasher and washer & dryer.
- oh, and did I mention, packing all my stuff up and taking tons of things to out of the closet, too? yeah, it’s a busy time.
- heading to Brooklyn again in September, to continue making progress on Flashlight Worthy. Looking forward to seeing Peter again.
- other than FLW, I’m not working (or bringing in any income), which is stressful, but I trust something will come along in the next couple of months, when I’m ready to get back into it.
- I have a fantastic new swim coach, Tony; he used to compete at the California state level, which is pretty cool. had my first lesson, learned a lot about improving my crawl and he says I have a “natural affinity for the butterfly” (and I hope he isn’t referring to the insect). best of all: he thinks I could be competing in six months. WOW. now I’m all about trying to lose the fins and figuring out the butterfly. woot.
- on the other hand, flip turns are still impossible; I flip around like a fish OUT of water, even though I’m in the water, when I’m trying to do them. bleh.
