It's one thing that the student body didn't stand up and demand the school let Constance bring her same-sex date (which is sad, but not surprising)... but it's another thing to pull a bait-and-switch (as it appears they did) and to perpetrate that on the two learning-disabled students, too. Absolutely unconscionable and bigoted. Way to show some true colors, Itawamba Agricultural High School Class of 2010.

It reminds me of this story, about a similar situation that happened in Birmingham, Alabama in 1965. Except, you know, that was 45 years ago, and I'd like to think the South has come a little further. Apparently not.
